On Jan. 21, 2015, the Gallatin FBLA’s Enterprise Committee, led by Gabby Johnson, Kaia Mehlberg, and Mattison Ishmael, gave a presentation to Mrs. Steinman’s sixth grade class. They did the presentation as part of their American Enterprise Project competitive event. It was over the history of money, and what you needed to know about money in today’s world. Along with the presentation they did several activities with the sixth graders. Those activities included a bartering activity with Dum Dums, looking at old coins, and an interactive video to wrap up the presentation. These activities helped the students understand what was being taught to them, while at the same time being entertaining. The next step for the FBLA members is to write a 15 page report summering the committee’s activities. That report will then be submitted for state competition, in April.
