“The Magic Flute” premiered in Vienna, Austria in 1791. The CMU production will be performed in English in what director Dr. Susan Quigley-Duggan, CMU associate professor of voice and opera, described as a chamber version of the fairy tale.
The production will be presented Thursday through Sunday, Feb. 12-15, with a 7:30 p.m. start time in CMU’s Willie Mae Kountz Recital Hall. For ticket information call 660-248-6317.
Since its founding in 1854, CMU has evolved into a university that confers master’s, bachelor’s and associate’s degrees through programming on its main campus in Fayette, and through extension sites located across Missouri and online.
