Shawn Eiken, 20, Gallatin, received minor injuries in an accident that happened at about 5 p.m. on Jan. 27 three miles east of Gallatin.

According to the highway patrol, Mr. Eiken was turning a corner from Prairie Avenue to Pepper Avenue and lost control of his 2002 Yamaha 660. The vehicle slid off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, and overturned. Mr. Eiken was fully ejected from the vehicle. The Yamaha came to rest on the east side of Pepper Avenue.
Mr. Eiken was transported from the scene to Liberty Regional Medical Center by Daviess County EMS.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.R. Johnson, assisted by Sgt. M.A. Ott and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
