Bundy tore through his side of the 195-pound bracket with wins over Trenton, Shawnee Mission North and Hamilton foes. Bundy battled even with South Harrison’s Kasey McFall before falling by a 5-3 count in their championship match.
Caleb Michael, at 145 pounds, was unstoppable in three straight matches. He defeated his Chillicothe opponent, 9-0, then pinned foes from Plattsburg and Rock Port before losing by fall to Lawson’s Corbin Menke in the advanced rounds. He came back to win his next match with a pin and take third in his division.
Tanner Johnson finished with a 2-3 record on the day with Polo’s Drake Burton and Plattsburg’s Jesse McGee. Johnson was a fourth place medalist for Gallatin.
Rian Critten, at 126, and CJ Richards, at 160, each won three of five matches and brought home fifth place awards. Declan Sweizer and Michael McLey each finished 2-3 and with sixth place finishes.
