County Commission
James Lewis, road and bridge supervisor, and crew are reviewing Drake Avenue for school bus road issues in Salem Township and placement of CMP on 242nd Street in Union Township. Road and Bridge has completed building shelves for the Prosecuting Attorney’s office.
Jane McKinsey, recorder of deeds, filed the 2014 Fee & Reception report.
A letter was received from Annie Gibson, prosecuting attorney, regarding payroll processing for the month of January 2015.
Commissioners discussed titling of assets in county name or department names; commissioners requested to have all titles placed in the county’s name.
Marshal Hopkins from Jamesport Community Association discussed a DMO resolution.
Motion for Order 2014-9, which authorizes the transfer of $6,000 from the Law Enforcement Sales Tax Fund to the Law Enforcement Fund, was made by David Cox and seconded by Carl Carder. This has zero effect on the net amount regarding income and expenditures for this fund. All in favor; motion passed.
There was discussion on abatements for Terry Jarboe for 2014. Commissioners agreed with the abatement for his personal property of 2014. There was discussion on abatement of personal property taxes for Porter Hopkins. The commissioners called City of Pattonsburg but received no response. No action was taken on abatement.
Carl Carder moved to accept Marie Toney and Betty Trimble as board members for the Senior Services Board. David Cox seconded; motion carried.
Sheriff Ben Becerra and Deputy Todd Watson discussed the purchase of an automobile for the sheriff’s office.
Carl Carder moved to accept the Oden Enterprise, Inc., bid of $26,982.89 for delivery in March for a bridge on 242nd Street in Washington Township. Motion was seconded by David Cox and carried.

A dissolution of marriage was granted to Ronald D. Gross from Beth A. Gross.
In Jonathon P. Lynch vs. Chasidy A. Lynch, a legal separation was ordered.
On Jan. 7, Judge Jason Kanoy granted changes of venue to Livingston County to Abdisalam Dirie, Independence, on a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana; and to Jesse L. Silvey, Kansas City, on misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
