Ezekiel Bridgeman, 19, Winston, was seriously injured in an accident that happened at about 10:53 p.m. on Dec. 12, in DeKalb County.

According to the highway patrol, Ezekiel was traveling northbound on Route EE about three miles north of Cameron. He attempted to pass a vehicle and traveled off the west side of the roadway. His 2001 Toyota Avalon struck a mailbox and impacted a ditch, overturning onto its top. The Toyota came to rest on the west side of the road.
Ezekiel was taken to Liberty Hospital by Cameron Ambulance. He was not wearing his seat belt.
The vehicle was totaled.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. K.J. Cool, assisted by Tpr. A.J. Webb, DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, and the Cameron Police Department.
Ezekiel was arrested at 12:15 a.m. on Dec. 13 at Liberty Hospital and charged with driving while intoxicated; no seat belt; and C&I driving involving an accident. He was released.
