A funeral service and masonic rites for Larry Peugh were held Dec. 10, at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany. Burial with military rites followed in Yankee Ridge Cemetery, southeast of Ridgeway. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions to the Yankee Ridge Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, Mo., 64424.

Larry Dean Peugh, 80, Mt. Moriah, died Dec. 6, 2014, at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph.

Larry was born Nov. 15, 1934, to Alonzo and Edith (Thomas) Peugh. He married Nadine Power on Oct. 25, 1956, in Eagleville.

Larry enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1953. He had basic training at Camp Pendleton, Calif., was shipped to Hawaii until October 1956; then six months as an MP at Camp Pendleton until 1957.

Larry was employed by the Missouri State Highway Department based in Mt. Moriah, from 1957 to 1992.

He was a member and officer of Masonic Lodge #328 AF & AM of Cainsville, and later a member of Masonic Lodge #97 AF & AM of Bethany. He was a member of Bethany Chapter #87, Harmony Council #80, and Bethany Commandry #42. He was also a member of Cainsville American Legion Post #257.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Charles; daughter, Anita; daughter-in-law, Relynda; brother-in-law, Alva Fish; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken and Virginia Booth and Eldon and Katherine Power; and three nephews, Kevin, Marcus and Steve.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Nadine, of the home; son, David, Lamar; daughters, Jill Peugh, Mt. Moriah; and Dana (Matt) Cameron, Pattonsburg; sister, Mary Fish, Bethany; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
