Langfitt Electric from New Hampton and Hangly Electric from Pattonsburg submitted bids for the new building add-on at the jail in Pattonsburg, but no action was taken by the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail Board during their meeting held Nov. 26.

Ed Howard gave the financial report which the board accepted. Sales tax income for November was $67,155.57; Commissary grossed $12886.84; CD Account balance is $235,325.76; Sales Tax Account balance is $161,263.81; Operating Account balance is $13,821.93; Payroll Account balance is $87.57. For the first eleven months of 2014 Daviess County would have had to pay $300,362.06 for inmate housing and DeKalb County would have had to pay $423,320.00.

Medical training will begin on Dec. 8. Discussion was held on all employees taking a refresher course.

Todd Watson was not able to make the meeting to discuss Missouri Uniform Lawn Enforcement System, so Ed Howard gave information on the MULES connection.

Ed Howard, Rachel Haggard and Norma Crabtree went to Henry County at Clinton on Nov. 25 to view their Jail Management System and to tour their jail.

The profit from the vending machine of approximately $500 will be divided out in raffles for the employees at Christmas.

Discussion was held on shopping for a vehicle for the administrator, as his is about worn out.

Shop With a Cop will be held on Dec 20.

No quote from BCBS has been received yet for employee insurance. The board agree to pay for Mr. Gray’s supplemental insurance as he will not be on the jail plan after Feb. 1, 2014.
