TRENTON, MO — On Nov. 14 the Trenton Police Department, in conjunction with the Midland Empire Alcohol Task Force of St. Joseph, participated in an underage alcohol compliance check of local businesses. The operation used the task force’s minor employees, who attempted to purchase alcohol from various businesses in Trenton. If alcohol was sold to the minor, officers entered and issued citations. During the operation, there were seven violations of alcohol sold to a minor. There were nine locations that did not sell to a minor: Chumbley’s, Main Stop, 9th Street Casey’s, Dollar General, Hy Vee, Lakeview, Elks Lodge, Trackside, and Washington Street.
