Gallatin Assembly of God

The Sunday School hour included the teaching of Jesus about responsible stewardship. Clyde Lint directed the class to Luke 12 and 16. The lesson showed how we must not allow worldly possessions to overshadow our pursuit of our relationship with God. The morning service began with expressing our thankfulness for our blessings. Ina McFee led the singing. We began with the song, “There Shall Be Showers of Blessings.”

Everyone enjoyed giving to the children as they collected the missionary offering. The congregation joined in prayer for the many prayer requests, and was encouraged at the praise reports. We thanked God for protecting Sherri and Shelby Hogan during their recent vehicle accident.

The service was completed with the report of the ministry of Greg and Terri Novini, missionaries to India. They showed how all of us are co-workers in reaching the lost. In referring to I Corinthians 3:4-11, the said, “It is a God given ministry to be friends with others and show them the way to salvation.” They reported how they are involved in training young men to become pastors in the predominately Muslim and Hindu practicing nation of India. The annual church thanksgiving meal and fellowship followed the morning service.
