James R. Roll, 73, Roeland Park, Kan., died at Shawnee Mission Medical Center on Nov. 10, 2014. Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in James’s memory to Disabled American Veterans.

James was born the son of Hugh W. Roll, Sr. and Nelda M. (Huston) Roll on Sept. 24, 1941, in Kansas City.
James was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Hugh W. Roll, Jr.
Survivors include his companion, Stephen Fisher; one son, David J. Roll and his wife Laurie Walton-Roll; one brother, Richard L. Roll and his wife Leora; one sister, Anna Brundage and her husband William; one granddaughter, Briar Roll; one niece and two nephews.
