Dillon Hazzard, 18, was driving northbound on Hwy. 13 on his way to Gallatin school at about 7:42 Tuesday morning, Nov. 11, when he began to slide on the Honey Creek Bridge about five miles south of town, according to a report by the highway patrol. The 1991 Ford F150 pickup struck the southbound guard rail of the bridge. He overcorrected, and the vehicle went off the left side of the road, impacted the ground, overturned one time, and came to rest on its passenger side facing south. Dillon was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries. Two siblings were passengers in the vehicle, Brian, 10, and Tyler, 7, according to their grandfather, Roy Hazzard. Dillon had a mild concussion, and the other children had bumps and bruises. They were all wearing their seat belts. [Staff Photo/TLH]
