Chapter members attended the opening session headlined by National FFA president Brian Walsh and motivational speaker Nick Vujicic. This session also featured the National FFA Band and Chorus. Chapter members attended the FFA Career Show which highlighted agricultural based companies, as well as colleges and universities.

Students also toured Hunter’s Honey Farm, a retail honey production facility. FFA members had the opportunity to see honey production from the hive to the table. While there, the staff at Hunter’s gave members an in-depth presentation of the collection, processing, and packaging of honey and bees wax products.

Ozark Fisheries was another stop of ag related tours attended by the FFA members. This Koi and goldfish production facility was highlighted by a tour of the hatching rooms, growing ponds and the shipping facility. Ozark Fisheries produces over 400 million fish per year.

This four day trip exposed the members of the Gallatin FFA Chapter to the true scope of agriculture and leadership opportunities within the organization.
