Yesterday’s election results for Daviess County were unusual in that there was no contest for six local officeholders. Voter turnout measured 38% of the 4,906 eligible to vote in the seven designated local precincts.

Republican J. Eggleston of Maysville won all 4 counties to record 69.2% of the vote to win the seat for 2nd District State Representative.

Republican Sam Graves carried all 36 counties to win re-election as 6th District Congressman.

Republican Dan Hegeman was unopposed to serve as 12th District State Senator, attracting 1,460 votes in Daviess County.

Local results reflected statewide results except for the office of State Auditor. All four Supreme Court judges received votes for retention, each by a near identical 63% majority of votes cast.
