Pattonsburg Baptist
Bro. Dan’s message was “Persecuted Proclamation” from Colossians 1:28. International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church was observed with a presentation from Kathy Chappell, Voice of the Martyrs representative. Jail Ministry will be Tuesday evening. TeamKID will meet this Wednesday until 5. Revival begins Sunday morning with Cole Farney of Christian Communicators Worldwide, evangelist, and Stephen Williamson, music leader. A fellowship meal will be held following morning worship. Services will be at 7 Sunday-Wednesday with dessert night following service on Tuesday and family night pizza supper before service at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Gallatin First Christian
The Praise Team and Sue Bird led songs of praise at the 8:20 a.m. service, and Sandy Evans shared announcements at both services. Children’s message was by Sherri Carder at 8:20 a.m., and at 10:50 a.m. by Tara Fugate. Pastor Russ Hamilton shared scripture from Matthew 15:10-20, “Heart Issues.”
Next Sunday Night Live will be Jan. 4 at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m. our new archery ministry for youth begins, and the monthly board meeting will be held at 8 p.m. Teachers please join us Nov. 9 for teacher recognition at both services and youth will also sing.
Additions to our prayer wheel include the family of Imogene Wilder, and Lacy Carpenter. Special prayers for Second Lieutenant Ian Plotner, who, with 75% of his company in the 101st Airborne Division, received orders to deploy to Liberia on Operation United Assistance – the U.S. effort to combat the Ebola breakout in Africa.
Olive Baptist
Brother David’s Sunday morning message was “A Clean Heart” from Matthew 5. Sarah Ishmael’s children’s message was “Jesus’ Baptism” from Matthew 3. We held baptismal services for LeAyrah Leeper on Sunday morning. Following baptism, we held a fellowship dinner. We also held our monthly business meeting. Please remember to bring items for the Thanksgiving boxes.
Friends in Christ
Karla Michener welcomed everyone. Praise songs were “Open the Eyes of My Heart Lord” and “In Christ Alone.” Mike Earnst led us in prayer. The message was “Do What You Know,” which was part three of the “Anything But Average” series. The message was based on Matthew 7:24. Small group time followed the sermon. We are continuing to collect gas cards, and Nov. 17 is the deadline for the shoe box ministry project.
Coffey Baptist
Our morning worship service opened with a prayer from Anna Booher, followed with our praise hymn. “Higher ground” was sung by the congregation, followed with the children’s message by Shirley Knott. Announcements were given by Pastor Eldon. Afternoon services at Crestview at 2 p.m. and at Bethany care center at 3. Everyone welcome to attend.
Bible study Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. Sunday evening worship services will be at 6 p.m. focused on prayer. Nov 9 we will honor the veterans in our congregation for their service to our country. Our offertory hymn was “Blessed Assurance.”
Prayer for our nation and community was followed with the hymn “Victory in Jesus” by the congregation. Pastor Eldon’s messages was two parts, the first was from II Samuel 11:1 the second part was Philippians 12-16. We must not forget those in need of prayer for the many folks who are ill or cannot attend church services.
Lake Viking
Pastor Robert Nelson’s title for his sermon on Sunday morning was “Bring your best offering unto God” The scriptures that he used in his sermon included Genesis 4:1-15. The special music “I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb” was sung by Pastor Robert Nelson.
Several from our church attended the “Sunday Night Live” program at the Gallatin Christian Church on Sunday evening where “Servants of the Most High” were the featured guest. A very nice program was presented by the Christian Church Praise Team and the Children’s Choir. The next Sunday Night Live will be in January. The Ladies Bible Study Group will meet at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. The Youth Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. and the Adult Bible Study Group will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. Lake Viking Church is located just outside the East entrance to the lake. Our Sunday School begins at 9 a.m. and our worship service begins at 10 a.m. Come and join us as we study God’s Word.

Special Prayers and Encouragement: Pastor Mike Carner and family, John Dale, Laura Hoyle and son Patrick McBroom and family, Vicki Hiley, Joeanne Kitterer’s daughter, Bill Latimer’s brother, and Karen Worrel, and the many prayers were requested from all members spoken and unspoken.
Memory Verse: James 2:13 “For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.” Sabbath School Lesson: “Love and the Law” led by Mary Alice Dalby. Tuesday evening bible study meetings, starting Nov. 4 at 6:30p.m. The topic for the evening will be “What happens when you die?” Bring your bibles and come and enjoy the study. You can watch 3ABN on “Dish Network” on channel 9393. We are now on Facebook.

Message title at the 11 a.m. service: Pastor Mike Tipton based his message, “Praise for the Lord” on scripture Psalm 34: 1-10, 22. Kendra lit the candles at the altar as Jan played the prelude. Again this week, the children passed around shoe boxes for the congregation to donate their change to go towards the Shoe box Ministry. It was a joy to have Kay Kordes attend service this morning.
Pastor Mike led The All Saints’ Day Service with quiet prayer, as members lit candles in honor of those loved ones who have passed away. Pastor Mike blessed the sacraments as the congregation came forward for communion. The baptism of Henry Theodore Zager was a blessing for family and friends, which took place Wed. Oct. 29 in the sanctuary with Pastor Mike presiding.
Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. is Charge Conference at Trenton Wesley Church. No Bible study this Wednesday. The next study is at Sweatmans’ on Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. Dine in/ carry out will be Nov. 23 with vegetable/beef soup and cinnamon rolls. Administrative board meeting will follow the noon dinner. Nov. 30 6 p.m. is Hanging of the Green service. UMW cookbooks are on sale for $8. Continued prayer concerns are for Dale Alexander, Kelly Walker, Patrick McBroom, Bill Yost and Lois Yost.

The youth will hold a breakfast of biscuits and gravy Nov 15 from 7 to 11 a.m. Community Thanksgiving service Nov. 23 at 7 p.m.
