Patrick Bonnot with Missouri Intergovernmental Risk Management presented the Gallatin Police Department and the City of Gallatin with a $3,375 risk management grant during a meeting of the Gallatin Board of Aldermen held Oct. 27. The money will be put toward the purchase of a new camera for the patrol car.
Police Chief Richards discussed the recent activities of the department and the purchase of Christmas trees for businesses to decorate for the holiday season.
Bills in the amount of $69,190.21 were approved for payment. Discussion was held on the water plant project and PWSD #2; and the 2015 Budget.
Chris Gutschow and Steve Guthrie with People Service presented their proposal for operation of the wastewater plant. City Administrator Johnson discussed the upcoming water plant inspection, various electrical projects, and the buildings on the square.
Comments by aldermen were made regarding the 2014 street projects.
Mayor Ballew made comments supporting “Christmas Around the Square” and the efforts by the committee. Mayor Ballew and the committee will be working on the wreaths that hang from the light poles.
The board entered into closed session pursuant to legal actions and litigation; and hiring, firing, disciplining or promoting employees.
