Jacob Ringer, 16, and a passenger in his 1994 Pontiac, his step brother Shawn Simon, 17, both of Jamesport, received minor injuries in an accident that happened at 4:10 p.m. on Oct. 17 in Daviess County.

According to the highway patrol, Jacob was westbound on Flint Road about four miles north of Jameson. His vehicle went off the south side of the road, overcorrected, came back across the roadway, and went off the north side, struck an embankment and came to rest.
Jacob and Shawn were taken by private vehicle to Harrison County Hospital. They were wearing their seat belts.
The Pontiac had moderate damage.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. P.M. Kimball.
