Pirates Fish and Chips, located on the west edge of Gallatin, opened in April of 2012 and announced its closing on Oct. 1, 2014.

Owners Brad and Heidi Everett, and their five children, Mason, Jalen, Alys, Emme and Tyson, will be returning to their native Arizona, where Brad is looking forward to getting his Commercial Driving License (CDL).

“We want to thank our loyal customers for supporting us the last two-and-a-half years,” said Mrs. Everett.

The Everetts hope someone in town will be interested in buying the building and contents and will keep the restaurant going.

“Pirates went over so well and we think the town really appreciated having a drive-through,” Mrs. Everett said. “We know many are disappointed with its closing.”

The Everetts will have been in Gallatin five years. They are expecting to make the move to Arizona around Thanksgiving.

“It’s been a good experience and we’re grateful for the time we’ve been here,” Mrs. Everett. “It’s been really fun getting to know the people and serving the community.”
