Aaron Mason of GFG Ag Services said Earth Touch Grainery in Jamesport was purchased by GFG on June 1, 2014, from owners Jack and Kimberly Hennan. Hoffman and Reed was purchased Sept. 18, 2014, from owners Chris and Phil Hoffman. The facilities are located at Gilman City and Trenton.

Jamesport is a retail elevator, but does not sell grain. Trenton is licensed for 1,940,000 bushel and Gilman City is licensed at 394,000 bushel of grain.

GFG Ag Services offers bulk dry fertilizer, Nh3, a complete line of ag chemicals, custom dry fertilizer, Nh3, and spray application, sale of Pioneer seed and Mycogen seed, a full line of Purina and hubbard feeds, custom feed blends, precision soil sampling, crop scouting and consultation.

In 1988, Gage’s Fertilizer & Grain Inc was established to provide quality agricultural supply sales, grain purchasing, and storage options for farmers throughout Northwest Missouri. In October of 2013 Gage’s Fertilizer and Grain was purchased by a private equity group from Texas, and became GFG Ag Services, LLC. The Gage family and the managers are still extensively involved with all facets of the business.

GFG Ag Services, LLC also had facilities at separate locations in Stanberry, Maitland, Ravenwood, Albany, St. Joseph, Kansas City, Skidmore and Bethany.
