A McFall woman was fatally injured in a one-vehicle accident that happened at about 5:15 p.m. on Oct. 1, on Route T, about one mile east of McFall, in Daviess County.

According to the highway patrol, Malinda Daniel, 44, was westbound on Route T. She went off the north side of the roadway. The 2011 Jeep Cherokee returned to the road, crossed the center line, traveled off the south side, went down an embankment, through a barbed-wire fence and into a field, where it struck a ditch and overturned several times. The vehicle came to rest on its passenger side off the south side of Route T.
Ms. Daniel was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by NTA Ambulance. She was later taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph where she was pronounced at 12:48 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, by Dr. Greg Bedynek.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.R. Johnston, assisted by Cpl. J.M. Cross, and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
