CHILLICOTHE, MO — The Hedrick Medical Center Auxiliary recently awarded nine $500 scholarhsips to students pursuing degrees in the health care industry. The Hedrick Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship Fund was established in 1998 for the purpose of encouraging qualified individuals to pursue or enrich a career in the health care field. Scholarships are awarded annually. To date, 131 scholarships have been awarded for a total of $64,500. Recent recipients are as follows: Brandon Merrill of Chillicothe (Missouri State University-Springfield; Physical Therapy); Hannah Griffin of Trenton (University of Missouri-Kansas City; School of Pharmacy); Madeline Brick of Chillicothe (Cox College, Springfield, Mo., Radiology); Emily Hon of Hamilton (North Central Missouri College-Trenton; Nursing); Trent Hoover of Brookfield (Truman State University-Kirksville; Nursing); Garrett Major of Chillicothe (Missouri State University-Springfield; Psychology); Kristen Holcer of Meadville (Missouri State University–Springfield; Physical Therapy); Kami Nelson of Hale (Central Missouri State University-Warrensburg; Dietician); Kellie Sargent of Meadville (Central Missouri State University-Warrensburg; Nursing); Krystal Sensenich of Brookfield (North Central Missouri College-Trenton; Nursing).
