TRENTON, MO — North Central Missouri College in Trenton is offering industrial maintenance and manufacturing skills training tuition-free for individuals who qualify. These programs are funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. Accelerated training classes will begin on Monday, Aug. 19 and last 16 weeks. They are designed to lead to industry-based credentials as well as eventual college certificates. Tuition is free for those who qualify, however, students will be responsible for any books, student fees, lab fees, or other required supplies. Informational meetings about these training programs will be held during the next few weeks at vocational schools in Bethany and Brookfield as well as at NCMC’s Barton Farm Campus near Trenton. In Trenton, there  will be only one meeting at the Barton Campus, which is set for Monday, July 29. All are on a come-and-go basis from 4 to 7 p.m. Pre-registration is not required. Anyone interested in obtaining a job or in gaining new skills in industry are encouraged to attend one of these meetings.
