CHILLICOTHE, MO — As a health system, Saint Luke’s ranks among the top 10 in the nation in patients’ perspectives in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey of patients’ hospital experiences. Data recently provided by HealthStream, the system’s patient satisfaction consultant, show that Saint Luke’s Health System ranks ninth in the nation among large health systems with five or more hospitals. In the previous quarter, Saint Luke’s Health System ranked 12th in the nation. Hedrick Medical Center at Chillicothe is part of the health care system and was included in the survey. Other St. Luke’s hospitals in the survey are Anderson County Hospital, Garnett, KS; Wright Memorial Hospital, Trenton, MO; Saint Luke’s East Hospital; Saint Luke’s South Hospital; Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City; Saint Luke’s North Hospital – Barry Road and Smithville campuses; and Cushing Memorial Hospital, Leavenworth, KS. The data reflects performance from the most recent publicly available results of patient satisfaction surveys conducted between July 2011 and June 2012.
