SAVANNAH, MO — Noah Jermain, a high school senior at Savannah, won the 2013 National Championship for humorous interpretation in competition held at Birmingham, Alabama. Speech and debate Coach Daniel Strang helped Jermain prepare for the event. Jermain gave his choreographed version of Dave Barry’s “The Ultimate Script” 13 times as he worked his way through qualifying rounds. Jermain competed in the National Forensics League Honor Society for speech and debate. A total of 1,022 schools with 3,500 students and 1,500 coaches were involved in this the largest scholastic competition in the country. Noah is the son of Gary and Sheryl Jermain.
