CHILLICOTHE, MO — Miranda Mammen, a student af Chillicothe R-II High School, has earned a position on the Missouri State High School Rodeo Team. She will be traveling with fellow teammates to Rock Springs, Wyoming, from July 12–20 to compete at the 65th Annual National High School Finals Rodeo in the Pole Bending competition. Featuring over 1,500 contestants from 41 states, five Canadian Provinces, and Australia, the National High School Finals is the world’s largest rodeo. In addition to competing for over $200,000 in prizes, NHSFR contestants will also be competing for more than $350,000 in college scholarships and the chance to be named the National High School Rodeo National Champion. To earn this title, contestants must finish in the top 20 after two Go-Rounds in intense competition before advancing to Saturday night’s final championship performance. Miranda is the daughter of Terry and Jackie Mammen; her grandparents are Larry and Karen Jones of Wheeling, and Sandy Mammen and the late Jerry Mammen of Chillicothe.
