Johnathan Swymeler, who just completed his freshman year at Tri-County R-7 High School, won the bronze 3rd place medal at an AAU Junior Olympic qualifying meet held recently at El Dorado, KS. Johnathan also posted a season best :11.33 in the 100 meter dash and took the silver medal in the 200 meter dash. Johnathan finished the day taking 6th in the long jump. Johnathan has now qualified to go to the national qualifier to be held in Joplin later this month. He will compete in all three events. The top five in each event will move on to the Junior Olympics to be held in Michigan at the end of July. Johnathan is the son of Bobby and Heather Swymeler of Jamesport.
