Irish, American Folk Music Concert Planned

FAIRFAX, MO — The John Byrne Band will perform an open air concert on June 11, an encore from a similar event held last year. Byrne is a native of Dublin, Ireland, and has the accent to prove it. The band will perform Irish and American folk music from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the porch of the Roger Southard residence, 29829 P Avenue (three miles south of the Fairfax football field). Those planning to attend should bring lawn chairs and refreshments. Admission is free, but tips are gratefully accepted. The band will also have copies of their newly released CD available for purchase. The band includes a Fairfax native who plays the banjo.
