TRENTON, MO — Candidates are being sought to compete in the 2013 North Central Missouri Fair queen contest. Female 4-H and FFA members in north Missouri, ages 17 to 21, are eligible to take part in the contest, which includes preliminary competition on Sunday, July 28, and the finals on Tuesday, July 30. The winner will represent the NCM Fair in the 2014 Missouri State Fair Queen Contest. The contest will follow the Missouri State Fair Queen Pageant rules and regulations, which are on the website, www.mostatefair.com/documents/pg_Que en-Rules-Regulations.pdf. Contestants will be judged on interview, 40%; talent or public speaking (three to four minutes), 40%; and evening gown and extemporaneous speaking, 20%. The actual competition will take place at 3 p.m. on July 28 in the Hoover Theater on the third floor of the Grundy County- Jewett Norris Library. Contestants must submit a written application and wallet-size photo by July 1 to Brook Kreatz at 1415 Oklahoma Ave., Trenton, MO 64683.
