Chillicothe Music Teacher a National Quarterfinalist

CHILLICOTHE, MO — A Chillicothe R-2 music teacher is a quarterfinalist for a national music educator award. Dan Venner was chosen from more than 30,000 nominees for the honor presented by The Recording Academy and the Grammy Foundation. He is now among 217 music teachers from 195 cities across 45 states named as a quarterfinalist. Venner began his teaching career nine years ago. He teaches third grade music at Field School, as well as fourth and fifth grade music at Central School. In addition to vocal instruction, Venner also teaches his students to play a number of instruments in a variety of ways.
