Shots Alledgedly Fired at Truck on U.S. Highway 36

LACLEDE, MO — A man was taken into custody by authorities after a reported incident where a motorist allegedly shot at a tractor-trailer truck as both vehicles traveled in the westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 36. The alleged incident occurred east of Laclede in Linn County according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The vehicle was stopped on Mitchell Road in Chillicothe, just off U.S. Highway 36. The Linn County driver of the tractor-trailer reportedly used the Starr-55 motor assist to provide details about the suspect driving a black stationwagon with Illinois license plates. No injuries were reported. The incident is still under investigation.
