GRUNDY COUNTY, MO — Adam Warren was given the oath of office as the special prosecutor for Grundy County by Third Judicial Circuit Judge Jack Peace. Warren fills the position vacated by the resignation of Carol Wetherell. Warren, 33, is a graduate of Meadville R-4 High School and earned his undergraduate degree from Missouri State University in Springfield before earning his law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. As a member of the Missouri National Guard, Warren served five years in the Judge Advocate General’s office. He has served as the Chillicothe city attorney for five years and is serving his first term as the Livingston County prosecuting attorney. Warren will fill the Grundy County position until Gov. Jay Nixon appoints someone to serve until a prosecutor is elected in the November 2014 General Election. Judge Peace said Warren is not seeking the governor’s appointment to the position.
