KING CITY, MO — Macon Allan, a 2008 graduate of King City High School and 2013 Missouri Western State University grad, has accepted an invitation to practice with the Jacksonville Jaguars in Florida. The NFL franchise invited Allan to try out during the team’s rookie minicamp, an honor that comes on the heels of four consecutive seasons as a starter for the Golden Griffons. An All-MIAA pick for multiple years, Allan received the attention of NFL scouts after making the Division II playoffs as a starter on the Griffons’ offensive line. Listed at 6’5” and 304 pounds by nfldraftscout.com, Allan is considered as a prospect for offensive guard, with a secondary scouting value at offensive tackle. Allan’s skills have been showcased at multiple levels of football competition. The KCHS grad began his career as a freshman and sophomore competing in Missouri 8-man. As an 11-man player, Allan coveted multiple All-Grand River Conference on other postseason honors. Following a redshirt year, Allan started every game for Missouri Western for the next four seasons.
