TARKIO, MO — The Tarkio Chamber of Commerce’s Community Award Banquet attracted 120 persons to celebrate the efforts and dedication of volunteers to promote and improve the small town. Individual awards were announced and an update on improvements sponsored by Tarkio College Alumni Association was presented. Also presented was a report on school improvements, an update on the community hospital, and community economic development plans. Two new awards announced this year honor homeowners who beautify the town by upgrading their home exteriors.
