GRUNDY COUNTY, MO — Grundy County Prosecuting Attorney Carol Wetherell has resigned her office. According to Grundy County Presiding Commissioner Rick Hull, the commission received a letter of resignation from Ms. Wetherell stating that she is resigning, effective April 30. The letter will be forwarded to Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon’s office and he will appoint a replacement. Hull said no reason for the resignation was cited in the letter. Ms. Wetherell, a Democrat, was elected to the office without opposition in the November 2010 election.
