TRENTON, MO — The North Central Missouri College Board of Trustees voted to extend the contract of President Dr. Neil Nuttall by one year, thereby keeping him on a three-year contract through the 2015-16 school year. His salary is to be determined during the budget process later this year. The vote was 6-0. The board also set a special meeting for noon on Monday, March 18, at the Green Hills Head Start offices to meet with federal Head Start officials who will be in Trenton to conduct their review of the local program. NCMC is the administrator for Head Start and officials will meet with trustees as part of the evaluation process. The evaluation team of seven members will be in Trenton throughout the week to look at the program and will visit other centers in the nine-county service area in addition to Trenton. Head Start Director Dr. Bev Hooker announced that the local Head Start program has received $1,512,510 for the fiscal year that began on Feb. 1. That represents 80 percent of its total approved funding. NCMC will receive $87,250 as administrator of the program.
