GRUNDY COUNTY, MO — The Grundy County Commission is seeking information concerning the theft of street signs across the county. The commission said this morning that the street signs are disappearing throughout the county, with one township having about 30 signs missing. Commissioners said the theft of the signs pose a hazard for emergency crews trying to respond to a call out in the county. Without street signs, the crews may not easily be able to locate a residence in an emergency situation. It was noted that there is a “substantial penalty” for a person who is caught stealing or possessing the signs. Anyone with information about the missing signs is asked to contact the Grundy County Sheriffʼs Office at 660-359-2828.
