CAMERON, MO — Cameron Police Department officers continue to investigate two separate robberies that occurred in less than 48 hours at two Casey’s General Stores in Cameron. In the past month there have also been robberies at convenience stores in St. Joseph, and area law enforcement agencies are coordinating efforts to determine if there is a possible connection between all of the incidents. Cameron police responded to the Casey’s Store on 405 West Grand on Feb. 6 about 4:43 a.m. A suspect, dressed in black clothing, was described as 5’10” to 6′ tall with a black hooded sweatshirt pulled tightly around his face to show only part of his eyes and nose. He was also wearing either a black or dark green Carhartt-type work coat with a hood, black pants, and either brown or black boots. The subject was last seen leaving the store going westbound on foot. Then, on Feb. 8, the Casey’s Store at 305 East Evergreen was robbed.
