TRENTON, MO — Singers and instrumentalists from throughout the region are invited to join the Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra for its first Easter concert. The community choir and orchestra will perform Mozart’s “Requiem Mass” on Saturday, March 30 at the First Baptist Church in Trenton. The “Requiem Mass” was in the soundtrack of the 1984 movie, “Amadeus,” which won eight Academy Awards. Singers and instrumentalists can register for the Easter performance at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Hodge Presbyterian Church in Trenton. All participants are asked to pay a $10 registration fee to cover music, printing and other expenses of the organization. Scholarships are available, if needed. The first rehearsal will follow registration. Rehearsals are scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Tuesday from Jan. 29 through March 26. Musicians are not required to attend every rehearsal.
