Children’s Mercy Hospital Expands

ST. JOSEPH, MO — Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics is expanding in St. Joseph. Children’s Mercy’s main hospital is located in downtown Kansas City. But it also operates clinics and care centers in surrounding communities. For the past 20 years, it’s had outreach clinics in St. Joseph. But now it will have a permanent location on the campus of Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. Two outreach clinics, Children’s Mercy Cardiology and Endocrinology, have moved into the new space and recently began seeing patients. Plans also are under way to establish a clinic that specializes in asthma and allergies. Other clinics, focusing on gastroenterology and weight management, are being considered.
