Swim pool repairs higher than expected

SAVANNAH, MO — Costs to repair the swimming pool may be higher than previously expected. Architects recently revised plans for pool construction after receiving two bids for pressure testing/leak detection. If more cost goes towards pool repair and construction, less money will be available for the pool house, showers and other items. The City of Savannah is currently advertising pool construction, and the sale of bonds is underway. Proceeds from bond sales should be available within 30 days, making pool construction as early as February a possibility.
