CAMERON, MO — Danielle Rupell, a senior at Cameron High School, was the surprise recipient of a family vacation to Florida from the Dream Factory of Greater Kansas City. During an assembly held at the school in Cameron, Rupell was informed about the family vacation being granted. Rupell has central nervous system vasculitis, an inflammation of blood vessel walls in the brain or spine. She was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year after suffering from migraine headaches and has been going to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City for treatment. The Dream Factory is a national organization whose goal is to “Make a child’s dream come true” for those who are seriously or chronically ill. The Dream Factory sees that each child receives a granted wish, be it a toy, an experience or a trip.
