SAVANNAH, MO — A teenager was taken into custody after allegedly making a threat against a Northwest Missouri school. Savannah Police Chief David Vincent says the student was under an investigative hold at the Andrew County Jail for allegedly making the threat against Savannah High School. Students reported they heard an unspecified threat to be carried out on Friday, Dec. 21. He would not release details of the alleged threat. Police planned an increased presence at the school but the school was closed because of bad weather on Thursday. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol also investigated a threat reported Wednesday at Southwest School in Ludlow. They determined the threat did not require further action.
