CHILLICOTHE, MO — Tuition rates are being scrutinized by members of the Chillicothe R-2 Board of Education. The school district is looking to drop their current tuition rates, primarily for high school students, per amendment, by $800. A new calculation tool from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is being applied. New calculations using this tool would set annual tuition for Chillicothe R-2 at $7,100 per year. Grand River Technical School, on the other hand, may be increasing their secondary and adult tuition rates by as much as $200. If approved, GRTS tuition for secondary school students would increase to $2,300 and tuition for adults would increase to $5,500 per year.
