CAMERON, MO — Seven-year-old Kate Diebold understands the importance of helping others. Kate created 11 Thanksgiving greeting cards and offered them to members of her church to raise $43 for the Cameron Food Pantry. Kate first realized the need while on a family trip in Chicago last August. There she and her family encountered some homeless people. Her father, Cameron First Baptist Pastor Jeff Diebold, mentions that the Salvation Army Bell Ringing is now underway and that the Cameron Food Pantry is always in need. A monetary donation to the food pantry is worth about three times more than donating food since the food pantry can purchase in bulk far cheaper than items bought at retail by consumers.
