SAVANNAH, MO — Savannah’s city council voted unanimously to increase its annual contribution to the Northwest Missouri Enterprise Facilitation from $500 to $1,000 recently. The city benefits from the successes of this organization as several new businesses are currently operating on the Savannah town square and other nearby locations as a result of strong advice and guidance from this organization. Savannah does not have an economic development department or an employee dedicated to economic development. In years past Savannah donated $1,000 to this enterprise entity but decreased last year’s donation due to financial constraints.
