TRENTON, MO — The Trenton Missouri Police Department has announced its new business watch program, “Project Night Eyes.” Beginning on Saturday, Dec. 1, merchants may come into their businesses in the morning to find a light blue card placed under the door. This card indicates that the business was checked during the hours it was closed. Police Chief Tommy Wright said that the concept of the “Project Night Eyes” program is to assist business owners and merchants in maintaining the after-hours security of their facilities during the late night time periods. Through unscheduled, random, and periodic police checks of businesses, Trenton police officers are able to help keep most businesses from vandalism, theft, and burglary.
