CHILLICOTHE, MO — The Chillicothe R-2 Board of Education plans to follow through on recommendations from a committee report to convert the old Litton stadium for future use. A long list of recommendations were suggested to the board including surplus auction of some items, outright donations of some items to other organizations, and changes to use facilities for school storage. It was suggested that rather than spending money on demolition, the school district use available money on the new stadium. The committee also asked that the grounds be kept intact enough so that middle school students could utilize the old stadium track and field for practices as well as for physical education classes.
