JAMESPORT, MO — The dream of Jamesport having a new up-to-date fire house is about to become reality. A newly constructed 80×80 building plus a 50×50 addition are located south of the A.V. Spillman Event Center. The exact date for completion is not yet know. Work is being done on a volunteer basis. A goal of $160,000 was met through private fund raising projects. Volunteer fire fighters will relocate from the present facility located near the 4-way stop downtown. The Jamesport Fire and Rescue has approximately 25 firemen on the roster, including two EMTs and 12 EMS first responders. Alan Fender is president of the fire association.
