Land sells at $7,100 per acre!

DAVIESS COUNTY, MO — Roughly 465 acres of Missouri land northwest of Chillicothe, Mo., (near Lock Springs) was sold at auction for roughly $3.3 million on Oct. 20, 2012. Professional auctioneer Dennis Prussman and the United Country – McChristy Realty & Auctions, team based out of St. Joseph, Mo., were on-hand to conduct the live event at the Comfort Inn in Chillicothe. The auction drew upwards of 75 attendees and 20 registered bidders from six states. This auction offered the roughly 465-acre parcel, 398 of which are tillable, in two separate tracts and brought $7,100 an acre average. The high bid of the farm nearly doubled the seller’s expectations.
