TRENTON, MO — North Central Missouri College trustees will be taking a hard look at Geyer Hall, as well as Barnes and Freeman halls, as they move forward with the campus master plan. A strategic planning committee is looking at those buildings, which house such important college services as the library, the book store and the Academic Reinforcement Center, to determine how they can best be utilized and what changes need to be made in them to be most efficient. The buildings will be evaluated from a curriculum and instruction side, as well as a facilities side. NCMC officials will be meeting with Ellison-Auxier Architects of St. Joseph, as well as representatives of two companies whose specialty is retrofitting older buildings and making them become more energy efficient. These specialists will also evaluate the entire campus and develop an overall energy plan.
